Its a 2 stroke with a built in gas tank. Water cooled. Always in drive, no neutral or reverse but it can turn 180 deg. and the handle flips around so you have full reverse thrust. I bought it about 4 weeks ago as an experiment on my porta bote to see if it would troll slow enough but it moved my boat the same speed as my 4 hp.
