Text: I bought this TV in 2003 (for $1800 + $300 for stand) and it works great. It's "broken" in. This is important for projection tv's since new tv's can have lamp problems and you may have to get it replaced (hassle). This is a 16:9 HDTV monitor with 480/720p and 1080i display capable. This is an excellent TV by any measure and so much that I simply cannot watch movies on regular TV's anymore.
You will enjoy your sports, movies, discovery channel unlike before.

This TV is out of warranty (but as you would probably know a TV that worked great for 3 yrs is a lifer). This TV comes with a matching stand ($300 value). The price on froogle.google.com (the lowest) is nearly $1400 (without the stand). This TV also comes with a screen protection glass. No scratches almost like new. The original remote control was dropped and it stopped working. I have a sony all-in-one remote that works. Alternatively you can buy one of those fancy Sony remotes if you wish and get busy watching.

Again, the TV comes with a stand (free). If you want, I also have a Yamaha home theater system that you can have for an additional $120. (The remote is functional but has been badly chewed by the dog). But you should be able to get one of those all-in-one remotes to work for you.
