Text: I am preparing to go digital over the next few months, and will no longer be using my film-based professional camera, the Nikon F100. This is probably the best pro/semi-pro camera that Nikon ever made, apart from the ultra-expensive F5. It formed the basis for the recent successful D200 digital camera body, and has multiple focus zones and other pro features along with a very firm grip.
An evolution of the N90s with many of the F5's traits, the F100 is a lightweight professional alternative to the big F5. The list of features is not light reading; Nikon's fastest AF, 4.5fps drive speed, professional weather sealing, 10-segment 3D Matrix metering, autobracketing, 22 custom functions...and on and on. It is a popular body with both professionals and advanced amateurs alike for two reasons-a solid feel and exceptional performance.
See the B+H website for the full feature list, as it is too much to try to summarise in an ad:

I have owned this camera body for three years, after previously owning the N90s. Upgrading to this camera made a bigger difference in the quality of my photographs than any other equipment change I have ever done in the realm of film photography. Never would it have occurred to me that the camera body is more important than the lenses!
I have taken very good care of this camera, and it has been refurbished by Nikon. There is some paint wear along the top, as often happens with metal camera bodies over time. No dents or damage. Some minor wear on the bottom as well. Everything is fully functional.
The photo is from advertising literature, as I do not yet have a digital camera with which to take my own ad photographs. Mine is in excellent condition, and has its original box, manual, lens hood, lens caps, and lens case. I also have the remote for it, which I don't think carries over tot he digital models so will probably be thrown in for free (a $35 value). Also the Magic Lantern guide to the F100 is better than the manual, and is available.
These now sell for around $800 or more new, and typically go for around $400 on eBay. I am selling mine for $300. I would like to sell this quickly as I am using it to fund my first digital camera. But unless my 18mm lens sells (separate ad), I will not be able to afford the digital camera, so this sale is contingent on that sale -- otherwise I will wait until December to repost this ad. I am posting it now because it may add incentive for someone looking for a package deal with my other current ads.
