Shimano Alivio rear derailleur, Shimano index shifters (24 speed). Bike has been maintained in like new condition. The reason why the bike is still new is because it was purchased a little over a month ago (by me) and I have barely rode it. I would return it to Mike's Bikes where I bought it (in Palo Alto) but they have a No Bike Return policy. I have changed my mind and decided to get a mountain bike. Call me to arrange a time today (Sunday) to view the bike (650-274-7751 cell). 1st come 1st served. I'm very busy the rest of this week so Sunday is a good day. I'm located in Foster City. I paid originally $420 for this bike ($389 plus tax) which if you goto Mike's Bikes you will see that is what they charge for this bike. This bike rides super smooth, super quiet, and super comfy to ride (full suspension). I just decided this isn't the bike for me. Great opp for someone who is looking for a decent bike that won't break the budget.
